Hard rock brown sugar is missing moisture.
And clumping occurs when it starts to lose that moisture.
So to keep sugar from clumping I would suggest adding moisture.
Basically throw sugar and a wet ...

I had one of these pits/smokers before:
Cheaply Chinese made...very thin metal and flimsily.
Paint flacks off after a couple smokes....turns to a rust bucket.
Needs modifications to work properly. ...
