Download and install a program called Classic Shell. It will give you back a real start button and menu and you can make it look like windows 7's. The best part is that it is 100% free.

When you say you are insulating your firebox, what are you using to do that? I ask as I insulated mine and the outside of the firebox still gets pretty hot, to hot to touch.

Yes it is and that is how Jambo pits are built as they do not use pipe to build them. They roll 7ga plate to make them.
