This last weekend I tried out a couple new chicken recipes, so I figured i might as well mess around with how the boxes look.
Please give me your opinions of how you think they look and what layout you think looks the best.
Just a bit of forewarning I know in the last couple the garnish looks messed up, but that is just because I kept moving them around, and really didnt feel like fixing it.

I like 1,2 and 4. Not a fan of the 3rd pic. I see too much green in that one. The arrangement of # 1 and 4 are my favorites. _________________ Mike C.

I see the pattern in #3, but it looks haphazard at first glance. I really like #2, assuming you can keep the spacing even around the circle and still make the garnish look good. _________________ Matt

Personally Mike I like them all, I have always been a semetrical kinda guy mainly doing the first photo style, The 4rth photo doesn't really get it for me. But I like the Boldness of 2-3. With the exception of the aformentioned parsly I also don't like the mis colored pieces in the center of the circle.
That being said. Looks good. _________________ The only thing consistant in BBQ is, it is always the Judges fault!

I was wondering how long it was going to take for someone to notice the different colored chicken. Those were two that I used a different recipe on, and I just need them to fill in the box to see what it looked like.
It was my friend's idea to do the diagonal ones. We were both standing there I said "ok, what else can we do" and that was his idea. I dont think I would ever use it.
If I could ever get a breast to turn out good I think I would use #2 and put the breast in the middle.
edit: Also as far a garnish goes, I tried making the oh-so-popular "putting green". And holy crap does that take a long time. I probably took me close to an hour to finish it. Next time I practice layout I am just going to put them on a 9x9 peice of green construction paper. And I wish I would have thought of that yesterday. _________________

1, 2 & 4 win it for me. As mentioned before, #3 looks just thrown together at first glance. If I'm judging and only get a couple of seconds to see the box, this design (albiet good after my brain adjusts) looks confusing. I'd be interested to see how it scores if you decide to go with it.
