Hey everyone, my daughter who love animals (who doesn't) is trying to save the dogs that are being skewered (ALIVE) and dragged behind boats as shark bait.
Please that a minute and read her petition, then hopefully you will see that this act must be stopped.
Thanks your friend Mike, aka Forkin Pork.

After reading all that with a sense of bone-deep horror (having no children, our dog IS our child) all I can say is, whether or not the practice is wide-spread, it certainly ought to be stopped somehow. Roadkill is one thing, but if it's happening to a living dog, I think the the guy who baited the hook, and everybody on his crew who condoned it by doing nothing to stop it, ought to be hung by a hook through their own jaw, and lowered into a wood chipper nice and slow. Any other boats/crews who indulge in this practice should be forced to watch. I see this is as approximately the same thing as they're doing to live dogs.

I know it's a slippery slope from here to becoming a truly rabid treehugger type, but I do believe that dogs are not just any other animal..they have the capacity to be some of the most wonderful creatures on this earth, if the love that my dogs have always given (and received in return) is any indication. There have been, and are, dogs that I would trust more than many humans I know.

This is essentially the same as being hung, drawn, & quartered, but at sea. This kind of barbaric crap should have stopped shortly after those first upright apes came down out of the trees.

Thus endeth the rant.

Man that is horrible. The picture of the hook/harness rig coming out of the dogs mouth is crazy. Someone should sink their boats. Scuba gear and a hand drill would work wonders on their hulls.

some idiot in this part of the country just tied a dog to his bumper and proceeded to drive around the neighborhood at 40 miles an hour. WTF, the dog lived but needs alot of procedures. if i were to catch this fool i can't be held accountable for what demented crap i think up. people like this need to be made example of. your daughter is a good girl for standing up for this.

I am barely able to type this because of all the puking I am doing at the thought of it.

I have 3 boys ages 8, 3, 1.5, and can't imagine the horror it would bring in them to know that this type of crap goes on. They love dogs. I love dogs. Even cat people love dogs.....

I say round up all of the people responsible for doing this, strip them down, and drop them in the middle of the war without the protection from our soldiers.
