I have a chance to buy what I'm guessing is a 2004 Ok Joe Competitor model. It's assembled, looking very much like NB Longhorn Super Deluxe..double doors and therms, cabinet storage down below. Never been fired up. Does anyone have any experience with this rig? Any idea what the price would have been origininally?

I recall the regular longhorn was bout $400 and the de lux at $650. Now that aint gospel it's just what I recall seeing at the local Academy store that sells them. Save up and by a Gator pit gatorpit.net from houston. It would be worth the wait!!! Wink

Zilla's pricing seems about right.... I looked at all them before ordering my Gator.. Check out the Gator Pit site before you make a move..

Cool

Hey guys, I saw an OK Joe Deluxe at Sams Club this weekend for $639. Too bad I only had $70 to spend!

Doggy, Were you at Sam's off of 95th st? Saw one there sunday.
Sooner, I thought for the money it would be made out of a little thicker material. Looks like about the same thickness as my old NB offset. Nice lookin unit but I would look around for something a little heavier. Don't know what you will be paying though. JMO

Tater...I'm not sure how thick the body is..I thought OK Joes were at least 3/16. But this Competitor is in Arkansas, and I'm in the Seattle area...so it's hard for me to say. They don't have much to offer up here...I'm even thinking about a WSM for now. Saw the smaller Traegers today, but it seems they're pretty pricey for the nicer models. I should call the Sam's here and see if they have anything, or if they'd get one up here for me. Thanks guys..any more thoughts are welcome!!

Yes, that was the Sams Club I saw it at. Boy, it was hard to walk away from it, but some things just aren't meant to be, I guess.
