I knew it was present but it reared its ugly head the other day, fortunately it didn't bite me. When using more than one tape, aquaint yourself with both I.E. calibrate aka verify the accuracy on both referencing the end stop butt end and pull hook. It doesn't seem like much difference but a 32'nd slop from one tape to the next will really mess with you when gaging square dimensionally especially over long distances. Remember...anything that deviates from perfect in the beginning of a build will / may multiply itself throughout to the finish

Wreckless, good point. I use only one tape in my shop, I do have others but they are used for general measuring and not anything to be cut. of lengths.

I always use the same tape throughout the entire build. That way I figure, if the tape is off some, it will be off the entire build. Thats my story and Im sticking to it! Laughing
