Does anyone have an awesome turkey soup recipe? I have never made it and want to knock some socks off.

Brian, I have never done turkey soup but I love smoked turkey gumbo. Very Happy I would think any good chicken soup recipe could be altered to the turkey.

Its kinda like Chicken Soup.

If its your first time doing one, a recipe might come in handy as a guideline. After doing a few, its one of those things that doesn't really have a recipe.

I like to boil down the carcass and remainders of the Thanksgiving Turkey, strip the meat off and make Turkey & Dumplings. If you add rice, it becomes Turkey Bog.

I just mix some turkey with soup...


Actually, I boil in water with a little chicken broth and you can add what you want. Celery, onions, noodles, mixed veggies etc...

Yeah, pretty much simmer the carcass in water with whatever veggies and spices you like. Onions, garlic, celery, leeks, a turnip for thickening, carrots, etc. Sweat veggies first for about 5 minutes or so and then add the water and the carcass.
