I finally got some time to work on my cooker. It is a 500 gal. r.f. with a warming box on top of the firebox. The firebox was made of 1/2 in. It was a scrap tub I got off of a piece of logging equipment. I had 60 in. piece so I cut in half and made a box out of it. It will have a gas assist thanks to BBQMAN you can see the burner on the one side. I am going to square out the front of the cooker and have barn style doors. There will be 3 racks in it.
This is the firebox frontview

this is the wayne gas burner

here is the firebox mocked up to the tank

Thanks for looking Smile

Logtrucker, that is some serious pig iron you have growing in your shop I love it. Very Happy Great choice going with Mikes gas assist set up that is the only way I would apply a fixed gas burner to one of my cookers. I look forward to seeing more pics and updates. Very Happy

Thanks Maniac
Thanks Wreckless. It will have 2 doors. I am planning on mounting to each side on homemade hinges and using door seals. If you or anyone else has any ideas feel free to pass them on about the best way to finish the doors so they get a good seal. Thanks for lookin Smile

I am a little behind this weekend after yesterdays little wreck. Smile
