The below link is a video from Franklin’s BBQ in Austin, TX. It hasn’t been open very long, but is getting great reviews and long lines. It is only open for the lunch run.

The tie in with Hitler is pretty tasteless (pun intended).
Sorry, but that's an epic FAIL in my book buddy. _________________ BBQMAN

I agree!
It appears the video is posted by someone other than Franklin's, by some video blogger. From my limited knowledge I don't think Franklin's would condone this or promote it, nor do they need to, especially slamming another BBQ joint like Salt Lick. |

if you look around you tube: that Hitler video has been used for more than just the Franklin spoof IIRC. The funny thing is that the line about it being 10:30 and it being to late to go is true.
Franklin does not advertise: he has no need. He started off using Facebook and Twitter and hit the hipster goldmine, which has helped gain him the publicity he has. The fact that he does a great brisket only helps.
I ate there a few times when he was still in a trailer. In fact the first time was 4 days after he opened. He was not selling brisket that day cause it did not come out the way he wanted. He is very idealistic about his q and it works.
His stuff is good, and he does sell out regularly. That was even before all the press he has gotten lately.
He also is not cheap..... they sell "all natural" briskets and charge $16 per pound. _________________ 22.5 Weber Kettle

Shaggybevo.com is one of the main reasons he got discovered. One of the posters on there randomly stopped there(he may have known Aaron's background) and posted about his experience. Most of his fans(it was actually friends that far back) on facebook were almost exclusively from Shaggy. After it was posted, it gathered steam QUICKLY.
On topic, I wouldn't be surprised if that was a Shagster that made the video...it's not new. |

New or not (I know it's been used before) I wouldn't want it associated with my business.
Period.
Quite frankly I wouldn't care how good the guys food was at that point, it's off-putting.
