So, I've been cranking out some pretty tasty 'que on my LBGE, but have been poking around thinking whIch cooker I want to increase my capacity and versatility. Ie, if I have something bigger for the low and slows, then that frees up the BGE for grilling or higher temp roasting.
Anyway, I'm having a hard time deciding between the Mac daddy of ceramics, the Kamodo Kamado:

and a gravity fed smoker, really liking the stainless Viking:

Anyone with experience on either of these care to share your 2 cents?
One concern is if I go with the gravity fed, will I get the juiciness I've come to expect on my egg?
Of course other suggestions are welcome also!
Thanks!

Out of those two I would get the Viking. You already have the ceramic covered, the stumps style would really increase your capacity. If you add a stoker or guru to your arsenal (which can be used on both cookers) you are almost cheating. I have never cooked on a egg, but it is on my short list. I have a large Stumps clone and I love it. So easy and cooks overnight without any babysitting. That stainless is sexy too. _________________ Stumps Clone V 2.0 Build Thread

Not sure where you are at with capacity needs but I can get around 20 shoulders with lots of room to spare on my Superior SS-One and they are around the money of that viking. _________________ Superior Smokers SS-One with Stoker

Holy cow that little viking rig is expensive! The stainless looks really nice though. I'm not sure how their quality compares to some of the other gravity feed makers such as material thicknesses but it sure is shiny. _________________ Big Blown Stump Clone

Viking is generally top of the line stuff. But everyone has a weak point I suppose. Would have to look at the specs I guess. _________________ Jason
