Swamp Boys BBQ Class
My name is Dan Mohr of Big Daddy Dan's Backyard BBQ. I have been in talks with Rob, aka Rub, from Swamp Boys BBQ about coming up and doing a class in the Chicagoland area. To make this happen, he needs minimum 20 people and I believe maximum 30. Please let me know if you have any interest in making this happen. The class is a cost of $500. This is a one chance opportunity to not have to spend $1,000's (because you know your spouse wouldn't let you go without her to Flordia) to fly down to Flordia to take this class. Please let me know and we can push forward with setting things up with Rob. PM with your interest and information. Here are some of Swamp Boys credentials:
Credentials as of 7/25/12:
Most Rib category wins in the US since 2006
Most Brisket category wins in the US since 2006
Second most wins overall in the US since 2006
33 Grand Championships
27 Reserve Grand Championships
96 Top 5 Overalls
80 Category wins
1st Place Pork Shoulder at the
Jack Daniel's World Championship Invitational
Swamp Boys was ranked #1 in the United States (out of 4,500+ Pro Teams) for 67 consecutive weeks
2 Time Florida BBQ Association Team of the Year |

I could understand the feeling on that one. Hell if I ever drive her to that point and she divorces me, you know who would try to take 1/2 my bbq cookers and supplies...not worth that |

I have spent a bunch the last 2 winters on Schools so I think this winter is a bad time to do that. _________________ BRINGIN'THE HEAT BBQ Team

We have some great news for all of you interested in the Swamps boys class in Chicago. We have a lock on March 29-30, 2013 (Friday & Saturday). The next part of the great news...it is at CABELAS in Hoffman Estates, IL!!!! The class is a cost of $500. This is a one chance opportunity to not have to spend $1,000's (because you know your spouse wouldn't let you go without her ) to fly down to Flordia to take this class.
Also, Rob has agreed to donate two tickets to the class valued at $500. The tickets will be sold for $25 each. The proceeds of 1 ticket will go to support Illinois BBQ Alliance, a sister to Operation BBQ Relief and the other to CancerSucksChicago (Scottie Johnson's Foundation). If you buy a seat to the class and decide to buy a raffle ticket, if you happen to win, the total of the class will be immediately refunded in full. I am currently working on getting a block of hotels for those coming in from out of town. I just need a rough idea of how many might be looking for a hotel. Please go to the link below to find out more information.

Ummmm your wife is understanding like no other, so I don't think you have to worry about divorce nor do I think you can relate to what the rest of us go through to get this done. |

| I might live close to civilization, but I'm as in the country as it gets, 2200 people where I'm at. |

| I tell you what, they are more times than not I wish I was in the country than in the city. Things are too fast and too expensive. I want to be close enough for work purposes, but far enough out that I don't have to deal with the crooked, corruption. And for Corey, it is true, I have been blessed with a pretty wicked awesome wife. However she's 1/2 greek, 1/2 Italian. As long as she's happy, I don't have too much to worry about. I don't ever want to bring out the evil in her. |

I'm not exactly sure how to attach images, so here is the URL link to the raffle tickets which went live last night.
http://www.swampboys.com/wordpress/?m=201211
Within 4 hours of posting the flyers, 20% of the raffle tickets have already been sold. |

I now own one of those tickets even though I will not be attending the class. I think it will be the best $25 you will spend. You win either way, helping a charity or winning the raffle and getting to take Rob's class for free. Even if you don't do comps it will make you a better backyard cook _________________ Triton 196 200 E TECH

Haha, we look forward to having you Corey.
"Rub just won another GC this weekend at the Triple Crown Championship. In his last 7 contests he have won four GCs, two RGCs, and one 3rd overall. Four contests and 3 GCs and 1 RGC since this thread was started.
Big question: What are you waiting for? " |

Anyone check out the National BBQ Rankings lately?
http://nationalbbqrankings.com/ranking
Need another reason to sign up for this class, contact myself or go to www.swampboys.com to sign up. It's going to be a great class and a once in a life time opportunity for midwest folk to have Rub teach in the Midwest. |
