Hey SoEzzy,
Thanks for the cousin's note, I would like to invite her and anyone else who enjoyed this thread to check out the Throw Downs section. Jeff posted some funny chit there. It also highlights more of the culture of life in his world. I really appreciate the job you do here. Great job!!
Thanks

I always feel uplifted when I know that what I'm doing is what I want to do, not what some boss, job or whatever says I must do. I got the feeling from his posts that was the same for Jeff. He was out there doing what he wanted to do, there may be some solace in that. Last night I pulled out the Macallan 35 and had a wee dram to Jeff...

Very sad loss. J contributed a lot to the world of BBQ and to this forum. His passing is certainly a reminder to all of us that tomorrow is not promised but a gift. Live and love and be happy every day you are here. Rest In Peace J _________________ Reverse flow smoker made by my dad "Shotgun Pete" Peters over 30 years ago!

It's been awhile since I've been active on TSR. Whenever I did drop in recently I was always sure to read the updates on this story. Like others have said, I feel like I lost a friend. Hope JAllens family, and those who were close with him, can find peace with what has happened. As cheesy as it may sound it reminds me of Elton John singing "candle burned out long before legend ever did"... I have a feeling that will be valid for TSR as well as JAllens little corner of the world and anywhere else he touched. Truly sorry to hear this _________________ In the shadows of Lambeau |

He gave of himself in his posts, and I lived it with him. Not very many people could have pulled that off...cj _________________ why see a shrink, bbq therapy...be one with the pig....cj |

I am sorry to hear about Jeff's passing. He had a true pioneering spirit which I think is a big part of the reason that so many of us liked him.

My Condolences to Jeff's Family he will be missed.
I did not post here much but certainly enjoyed Jeff's updates on the ups and downs of life running a business in another country. I remember when Jeff first came to the ring and asking questions about building his cooker it was fun to read and help. Then there was "The Whole Yak Throwdown" participating in this was a blast never knowing what Jeff would come up with next and trying to anticipate his next post.
Jeff,
Rest in peace my Friend.

This thread was one of the first I read when I came on TSR last summer. I lost touch with it until last week and was shocked to here about Jeff. I went back and read the entire thread. I want to send my prayers out to Jeff's family.
RIP,
Keith |
