Anyone know the going rate per pound for full packer brisket in the MA/RI area now? I haven't done one in a while and wifey just called and said Target had one for $7.99/lb, but that was for a trimmed flat.

Thinking of doing one while camping this weekend along with a pork butt.

It's gone up here. Kroger used to be $2.49 a pound consistently. Looked at one there a few minutes ago and it was $2.99/lb.

Down here is South Texas, they are on sale right now at HEB for 1.77 a pound. I would go buy some if my freezer was not full already.

There's a Sam's Club at:

Seekonk Sam's Club #6648
1110 Fall River Ave. | Seekonk, MA 02771
(508) 336-8262

Phone them and find out what the price they are.

Restaurant Depot in Norcross has "heavy" briskets at $2.49 lb but I can get a CAB right next to it for $2.69 lb. Cooked 3 last weekend for a catering job and they were some of the best looking packers I've seen in a while.

paid 2.99 lb this week for a whole brisket..Next time I'll just pay extra for the trimmed brisket, heck by the time I cut 5 lbs of lard off it, I'm down to a trimmed priced one anyway
