Jess, I've never heard of pigtrip.com and didn't mention it or any other Internet links in my article.

If it's in another part of the magazine, the editor is the one to inform about that. It could be a typo too. Sometimes .com is used from habit when it is really .net or .us.

All I do is contribute articles from time to time and have nothing else to do with the magazine.

Very cool article, but hard to read on a laptop with bad eyes Laughing . Basically what was said on the show I watched. I guess the truth will never be known. Unless you KNOW the truth - It started in GEORGIA! HAHA! Just kidding! Laughing My recipe is very similar to the one in the article. I've had some in GA that were much more cooked-tomato based (like tomato sauce thick) vs a thinner consistency. I prefer the thinner style. I generally use a whole, small chicken in mine. I've also used Cornish hen and wild rabbit (not together). I've heard that an old rooster makes for great flavor, but I haven't tried that yet. I also need to try it with tree rat (squirrel). Thanks for the article and the history lessons! It feeds my inner food geek's mind.

Thanks, bro. I have been trying to get my hands on two squirrels for a while. Didn't have any luck hunting them this past season. Perhaps in the spring. We'll see.
