No Pale Ale. They are Sliding vinyl home windows. 36x36. I used them instead of the " concession" style $1000 option that you describe. I did two of these units and the total cost was about a third the cost . Pkerchef _________________ Bubba Grills 250 Reverse Flow With Rib Box

they look great, very professional looking!! Care to share how you went about doing it? I really like the cover / awning for them! |

The cover or awning is the original window opening that was already cut out by the trailer manufacturer. I can post a before and after picture if you like. I just made a frame large enough to accommodate both the windows and screwed it all together and screwed them to the inside of the trailer walls. I took 2x4's and cut them down to 2 1/8" to allow for the hinges on the outer window opening.
The thinking about it for so long was the hard part. There is a guy in my area who was going to install them for me but he wanted 750 to do both windows and wanted to keep the trailer for about a week. I decided to do them myself rather than do that.I am glad now i went that route. The frame is much sturdier than the one he was going to build and he was going to attach them with L brackets. I pre-drilled holes in the outer frame and used sheetrock screws to attach them to the walls. Pkerchef _________________ Bubba Grills 250 Reverse Flow With Rib Box

Yea my problem is I don't have cut outs yet. I have stepvan that was a Snap-on truck in its previous life. Its a one shot deal with cutting it out and I'm a little nervous about cutting a hole in the side of the truck..... |

Can't be too much trouble. Just decide where you want the window. Cut away everything that don't look like a window. Pretty simple. Pkerchef _________________ Bubba Grills 250 Reverse Flow With Rib Box
