So its been a very longtime since I welded.
I just got a Lincoln SP-140T Mig Welder.
I am trying to weld some 1/8" angle stock and need to understand the correct set up on this machine.
I am using Gas so what should my gas be set too?
I am trying 3.5/D but I am getting lots of crackling/popping. _________________ Weber Performer

You may have to speed your wire up just a bit. I will run it about 4.
If you are not in the wind, you can get by with about 15cfh but I would run any lower than that.
Can you post a pic of your weld? |

Check the polarity, it could be set-up to run flux core. That would cause a lot of crackling/popping |
