Saw this on Facebook (one of those video's that comes up and auto-plays) and thought it looked good and could be even better if done on the smoker, so I modified the recipe a little.

Source: http://getinmybelly.com/sausage-stuffed-jalapeno-poppers/

Ingredients:
1 Lb Ground Italian sausage
8oz Cream cheese, softened
1 CUP Shredded cheddar cheese
1 Lb jalapenos, halved lengthwise and seeded
1 Green onion, finely chopped

Directions:
1. Place sausage in a skillet over medium heat, and cook until evenly brown.
2. Drain grease.
3. In a bowl, mix the sausage, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and green onion.
4. Spoon about 1 tablespoon sausage mixture into each jalapeno half.
5. Smoke until bubbly and lightly browned (probably 60-80 minutes)

Looks pretty good, I'll have to give it a try. Love them smoked ABTs.. Would be good to try it in the oven. I think I'd miss the bacon.

Sounds good.....looks similar to a dip recipe that I seen at a super bowl party, although they just chopped up the peppers and baked the dip......They used a regular hot breakfast sausage and it was pretty good. I'm sure it would be good in this if you didn't want italian. Can't wait to see the smoked version.
