The cooking grates on my offset smoker are a bit rusty. What's the best way to clean them up?
O r should I just replace them? |

Electrolosis works great on CI...self cleaning cycle in the oven is the fastest. Two hours and they come out as bare iron. Oil them as soon as the oven door unlocks...they will still be screaming hot so be warned. _________________ Somewhere in Kenya...a village is missing their idiot. |

The cooking grates are cast iron out of a Char-Griller. They are 5X15" give or take a few.
Funny I never thought of using the oven self clean.
Anyway got them cleaned, oiled and seasoned again.
Thanks for the response. |
