I'd be willing for an annual fee, like $20.

I love what Kam said about easy phone interface and easy pic posting.

Thanks,
Sgt. Stel

Please check us out at https://forums.thinbluesmoke.com/index.php and let me know what you think of the mobile device interface. You will need 3 posts before you can post or see any attached pictures.

I signed up to give it a go. Hope it takes off.

K.C. I think he's talking about the hundreds, perhaps thousands of members with no posts. Take a look at the member list, Sort by 'Joined Date' / descending and you'll see what I'm talking about.

My 1st thought; that's what a migration program might do.

With a forum migration you can choose to not migrate the members with no, or extremely low posts.

The migration I'm speaking of would take all the information from this entire forum, and transfer it to a new "better" forum without losing any data.

Seems it was a concern about losing all the great information within the countless posts on this forum.

If I remember correctly the reason Garry didn't want to perform any updates to modernize the forums is because of its age. This version of phpBB is over 20 years old and it would require multiple conversions to get it up to speed. He wasn't willing to either take the risk or endure the pain. Many members expressed encouragement for an upgrade but it more or less fell on deaf ears. This is why the site is in the state that it's in. Everyone else moved on to friendlier platforms and this place is a ghost town.
