I just wanted to let everyone know I am off to go pick up my new smoker. We are purchasing it from a team up in Winston-Salem, NC and are leaving in about an hour to go and get it.

The smoker is a custom built offset on a trailer that was built by "Bill the Grill Guy" in 2004.

Here is the link with some pictures from the current owner. The wheels have been replaced and some other touch up work has been done on it as well.

I will be posting pictures tomorrow night when we get back with it. It is about a 7 hour drive from Birmingham up there. We are driving in tonight and picking it up first thing in the morning. I am so excited to get it I was barely able to sleep last night!!

After 1000 Miles up to Winston-Salem, NC and back to Birmingham we got the smoker!! We cleaned it last night and got er all seasoned and fired it up today with some Ribs and a Picnic.

The Full Set of Pictures is here

The grill was built by "Bill The Grill Guy" back in 2004. We purchased it from a good friend of his (Charlie from Screamin Nite Hog).

Its a great step up for us for competitions and catering. We have a few mods we are going to make to it but nothing drastic (tuning plates, another shelf, and a wood basket.

I never thought I would be so happy to get a great smoker like this but I am just absolutely ecstatic about it.

If you have any specific questions on it, let me know.

Looks like a great smoker for sure. How'd the trailer tow on the way back, looks like the tongue weight would be pretty heavy.
It does look like it knows how to do good ribs.
Good luck with your new cooker.

Bounced around like crazy Very Happy

Only that one side was weighted down (with the smoker) so it was bouncing around like crazy. Other than that it traveled fine.

Congrats on the new smoker.

And after you do your mods it looks like it will serve you well. What is the size of the smoker and firebox.

The Smoker is about 24" x 64" - the firebox is very narrow. I am not sure of the exact dimensions of it. I will need to measure it and see. So far all is cooking good with it.
