Can someone help me with a recipe for Hamburger or Venison bacon. Have tried a few but the flavor is not there. Would like to use my own spices. Thanks

Does not matter just venison hamburger. Used spices from PSE for bacon made from hamburger and it"s not bad but still not the bacon flavor. Have had some made from a butcher plant and it was great but you can"t get the recipe. Go figure. Just wanted to do my own at home but have not got it yet.

For hamburgers I buy beef tallow from the local butcher shop and grind it in 10/90. It retains the venison taste while having enough fat to cook it. I have seen others add pork but then you have a pork burger. I prefer the venison taste and enjoy the gamey taste otherwise I might as well make a beef burger.

I have smoked venison bacon w/ apple and hard maple, it had a real nice bacon smoked flavor. I get my seasonings from www.psseasonings.com it is awesome!!!
