Well fellas i`ve been exparamenting with a relatively new cut(to me anyway) of meat called Flat Iron.
Here is the low down..... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flat_iron_steak
What i did was marinade these small cuts of flat irons in 30 minute maranade http://www.lawrys.com/products/products_detail.cfm?lry_value=products&prodtype=marinades&id=661 overnite. This might be too long/strong of flavor for some but we like it. Then sprinkled them with montreal stake seasoning. Grilled over lump with mesquite chunks a glow`n hot to med. rare - medium how ever you like them. Tender and tastey. Cooks fast.

Sorry for the dark picture.
There was a pile of them in the pan but the boys gobbled them up.
See if ya can find these cuts of meat. Small but sure are good. We like them.

Paid $3.89 lb here in Ne., that picture makes them look burnt. Rolling Eyes I need a new digital camera. Anyway try them if ya can find them. Not a big cut of meat but good. When i don`t feel like paying $7 something a pound for ribeyes or new york strips we get flat irons. "Flat irons" ha sounds tuff, but there not.
