Hello everyone, it's been awhile since I've been to the "ring", as I got a little burnt out (no pun intended) with smoking and of course the long winter here in the northeast didn't help with things either. But I'm back, and looking forward to getting back to smoking.

I'm having friends over next weekend for the "Dega" race and they have requested some ribs. Now I've used Roxy's rib rub and glaze several times and I love it, but I want to try something on my own.

I was thinking of doing a homemade "Burbs" Jack Daniels sauce. Now, my question is, in order for it to be "sticky" I'm thinking of using honey, along with the JD. Here is my idea for the glaze;

1/8 cup Jack Daniels
1/4 cup Honey
1/8 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup BBQ sauce
1/4 cup apple juice

This should work out pretty well no?

Proportions look fine to get you what you're after, IMO. Keep in mind that the glaze will thicken a little after it cooks on the meat for awhile.

Good luck....and pics are appreciated! Wink

Roxy's rib glaze has gotten lots of kudos and looks fantastic! Check it out and compare proportions.
