Frank's seems to be what most people like. Second best is Crystal. Like Mike Lawry said, mix 50/50 with either butter or margarine.

Mine is a blend of tobasco, texas pete, franks, butter, brown sugar, lemon juice, garlic powder, black pepper, crushed red pepper, and thicken in a blender with corn starch or flower to make it stick. I know I am leaving something out but that is a good base. Don’t measure anything out anymore just toss it together. I add real maple syrup sometimes.

Good hot and sweet mix.

I live in Buffalo and have worked at many restaurants here as a cook. The most common "Buffalo" sauce is Franks Red Hot and butter.

I use a 50/50 mix of Frank's Red Hot Buffalo sauce and Sriracha, and enough melted unsalted butter to bring it to the consistency I like.

I use 50/50 Texas Pete and butter but find that when I brush the sauce onto the finished wings it tends to drip off more than I would like. Any tips? Do you typically brush this sauce on while cooking or wait till it's done?

I don't sauce buffalo wings during the cook. After they cook, I put them in a large bowl with some sauce and toss/stir to coat the wings, and eat.

i just purchased some Stubbs wing sauce, as I too have been looking for a good one. I always use Franks wing sauce.

it is ok, generic, what you get in a restaurant pretty much.

I'll holler when i actually try the Stubbs. I like most of their sauces, so I'm hopeful.

I like to take the Franks and add a little of my favorite spicy rub (usually Big Ron's Hint of Houston) to just "pick it up a notch" and add a little more flavor

50/50 Tiger Sauce and butter (the real thing), sprinkled with Magic Dust.
