Ok I smoked a chicken the other day and had some leftovers that I didn't want to waste, so I made a pizza.
To start I made a crust.
Added 1 cup warm water, 1 package of yeast, and 1tbsp of sugar
Let that sit for about 10 minutes till the yeast were awake
Next I added about 2.5 cups of flour (may need a bit more or less), 2tbsp of olive oil, and 1tsp of salt
Mixed it till it came into a ball
Coated it with a bit of olive oil
Put it in a warm (90-100 degree) oven to let it rise. (ignore dirty oven)
Next I chopped up the leftover chicken into bit size pieces
And cooked up some bacon
Thin sliced some red onions
When the dough doubled in size I removed it from the oven and punched it down
Floured my pizza peel
Rolled out my dough (notice i also added a bit of corn meal to make it slide off the peel easier)
Added a spicy BBQ sauce to the crust
Topped with cojack cheese, chicken, bacon, and red onions
Put it in a pre-heated 400 degree oven on a hot pizza stone
About 10 minutes in
And finished after about 20 minutes
It was amazing and super easy to make, hope this helps someone. |
