Smoked a couple chuck roast today to make sammies for dinner.

One I rubbed and had in the fridge for 6-7 hours the other is fresh from the store.

Tried this on the chuckies.

About 2 hours in...

I foil them at 165 and put them back on the smoker to go to 190.

Resting for 30 mins.

Sitting in the juice man o man does it smell great!

Made a white sauce to go with the sammies...got the recipe off the Ring.

Let it sit in the fridge a while.

Plated with redskin smashed potatoes.

Made a German Chocolate cake for dessert.

Poked a bunch of holes in it.

Drizzled sweetened condensed milk over the cake and into the holes.

Then did the same with caramel.

Took my meat tenderizing mallet I just got at the Bass Pro Shop on sale and smashed some butterfingers.

Addded the butterfingers to the cake.

Added whipped cream.

Another layer of butterfingers.

More caramel and topped it off with chocolate sauce. I gained ten pounds just making this cake! Very Happy

Son! was it good!

Smoked Chuck Roast Sammie Sauce

Here is a nice sauce that would go with that...

1-1/2 cups sour cream
3 Tablespoons fresh chives, snipped (I left this out didn't have any)
1/4 teaspoon salt
2-3 Tablespoons prepared horseradish (the REAL stuff, not the creamed)
1/2 teaspoon season salt
1 Tablespoon lemon juice

Mix all and refrigerate for at least 2 hrs before using.

Butterfinger Cake

Ingredients

1 box German Chocolate Cake Mix (baked according to package
directions
5 Butterfinger candy bars
1 jar caramel ice cream topping
1 can sweetened condensed milk
Cool Whip for topping
Chocolate Syrup

Preparation

Bake the cake according to package directions and in a 13 x 9 inch
pan. When it's done, and while it's still hot, punch holes in the
cake and pour the sweetened condensed milk over the top making sure
some of it sinks in the holes.

Do the same with the caramel ice cream topping.

Sprinkle on some of the broken candy pieces.

When it's cool, spread the Cool Whip topping on the top, and then
sprinkle the rest of the broken bars. Then drizzle more caramel all
over and then drizzle chocolate syrup all over in zig zags.

Put all your candy bars in the freezer. When you're ready to
use them, take them from the freezer. Leave the wrappers on and take
a mallet or a hammer and smash them inside the wrappers. Keep cool
until you need them.

jeep...is there anything you make that sucks?

I have seen pics of many of your cooks and they're always over the top...this time seemed more laid back, and then you throw that cake on top.

Great job, and keep raising the bar.

Although I think all those toppings could make a turd
taste yummy - Wink - A slice of yours with a cup of
coffee would be most welcomed in my belly! Sorry to
be the one to inform you, but your cake has stolen
your thread!
