Hey guys new guy here. I lucked up on a deal on a pull behind smoker and recently have gotten addicted to using it. I'm planning a whole hog for the 4th. A small one at 50 pounds I belive it was. I plan to brine, inject, and rub my oinker. I need suggestions and a little help. I wanna cook this thing low and slow for as long as it takes. My question is how many hours per pound should I cook for?
Again i'm looking for all the help and suggestions you can throw at me.
Thanks in advance.
James

Not to repeat what has been posted but BBQMAN's PigRoast 101 put me on the track to a fine cook. A lot of great info. Thanks again Mike. Very Happy

Dang...I was in Lacey's Spring visiting my cousin a few weeks ago. Hazel Green has to be pretty close to there.

Welcome to the Ring, BamaSmokin, tho I can't give any advice. Never done a whole pig before.
