how long will it take for a #35 pig on the smoker???
Thanks I am thinking 8 to 10 at the most??

I cooked two 35 lb pigs the 4th at 250 indirect for 6 hrs.
Also had 2 boston butts on closer to fire.
They were split and back bone broke so they would lay fat.
Skin side up for 5 hrs and skin side down the last hour.

this is an appitizer, its a test pig
I have a small / med smoker the cooking area is 20" x 36" and wanted to try a pig. for parties this thing will cook 14 4# chickens great for home use but agree small for a pig pit. want to try anyway

I am looking forward to photos of your cook!!! I did 3 little wild hogs last month, and man oh man, they were DELICIOUS!!! The biggest one was about 35 pounds, and it took me right at about 6 hours and 40 minutes. I ran my temp as close to 250 as possible. I can't wait to get some more of the hogs because it was some of the best pork I have ever had.

I agree, feed that snorker with some 40% soybean meal and some cracked corn and call us this fall. Wink Laughing Laughing No not really i bet you will be happy with the tenderness no joke.
