Here's my dads famous eye of the round recipe
Get a whole round eye any size depends on how many people to feed
Mix up the sauce/rub as follows
1 teaspoon each of black pepper garlic & onion powder
1 cup brown sugar
2 tbls mustard
1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
mix all above brush on all sides of the eye (this is going to make a candy like crust on the cooked eye yum)
grill over hot coals adding wood chips for smoke
sear on all sides baste with sauce as you turn
cook till med rare remove from grill & let rest covered for 10 min
slice thinly and serve with a bowl of sauce for dipping
(you might have make more sauce for a large eye

Question.

With the 1 cup of brown sugar in the recipe,

Is the candy like crust gonna be burnt looking?

Yes but it woun't taste bitter with the other ingrediants in this sauce It will be sweet. think burnt ends but sweet/salty. My kids go overboard with the sauce they coat every inch of their meat in the stuff even dippin potatoe salid in it. Know this too an eye is not very tender due to lack of fat so slice it as thin as you can
