ok so i know that i have not used the forum in a LONNNNNNNNG time, but i am back and ready to build and smoke this year. the first project i have is to figure out a way to hang a weber or the railing on my deck. this way i can keep all the room on the deck and nothing could fall through and land on the porch again. (already had to rebuild after the fire this past fall!) everything and everyone is ok!

anyway, i know that i have seen some people mount a 22 weber on the side of their trailer rigs. where is the best place to mount the ring? i assume the kettle would just sit in a ring bolted to the frame. does anyone have a certain size that works best?

thanks very much for any help in this matter.

Chris

Chris, I would mount it as high up the Kettle as I could for stability.
Is there a reason you do not just open up the deck in that area and make an appropriate pad for the Kettle to sit on?

With this information in my opinion you should scrap the idea.
Simply put it is not safe.
