I want to take this quick moment to thank all of our country's veterans; past, present and future; whether with us or no longer; at home or abroad; man or woman. Thank you for protecting our home, our rights, our freedom. Thank you for doing a job that not many would do, for putting your life on the line to protect me and my family, a family which you have never met. I salute each and every one of you. Thank you.

Yes a hearty thanks to all our servicemen and servicewomen. I don't even want to think what this country would be like if we didn't have the best protecting us from all the evils this world has had. God Bless each and everyone of you and keep you safe to return home to your loved ones. We can never thank you enough.

Amen Tacklebox!

As Americans, we enjoy MANY freedoms, day-to-day. Because of our service men and women, we are kept safe in this country and we can exercise free speech and enjoy many other liberties. So, to ALL the Veterans out there, I just want to say THANK YOU!! You’ve fought and sacrificed so much to keep us safe and ensure our freedoms. And thanks to your families too--their sacrifice is immeasurable! Blessings on you and your families!

Going to go visit my dad's grave this weekend.

I was there last month, and his veteran's plaque wasn't placed in the ground yet. It's been 90 days since the funeral.

If the plaque still isn't there, I'll ask my mom to call the funeral director to check on the status of the request.

I don't know when he actually submitted the paperwork for the plaque, though.

R.I.P., dad ... M.Sgt. WWII U.S. Army Air Force.

Flew with General Robert F. Travis, who was killed in a B-29 crash at the start of the Korean War. He was flying part of an atomic bomb to Korea. Shocked

On this day let's all say a silent prayer for those lost defending our country, those still with us who served and those still doing it now........

Mojo... that still confuses me seeing an Indian Head patch on a Desert Uniform. I was a REMF with 122 Signal.

Our local Pipe Band played a Memorial at the Vietnam Memorial Park. Here we are Marching off with Marine Corp Hymn and Caissons. Rolling Eyes Yes, I am the one out of step.
