was wanting to do a swiss and mushroom fatty and some MOINK balls today. fine all is good. but i was short on lump, soooo fine will use some kingsford charcoal to make up difference. WRONG wont be doing that again. All 3 vents open and it is staying at 175 degrees. oh well that just means more adult beverage for me.

I;m guessing old, damp charcoal, environmental factors or something else. I have used Kingsford plenty without problems. Its not my first choice, but I have not had temp issues with it.
