After reading several reviews I went to Lowes this morning and bought this smoker. I plan on buying a Good One Pony Express or Open Range in Feb. But I wanted something to play with now so I went this route. I plan on putting the stove gasket around both doors. I ordered it over the weekend should be here tomorrow or Friday. I plan on smoking ribs and a butt Saturday for the Saints game. I cant wait to get started with this smoker.

I read the reviews as well. Nice smoker. Given your location, I would pay a lot of attention to one of the reviewers on the Lowe's site about it being almost too hot. Good luck to you and Breesie! Smile

You may have already considered the capacity of the Open Range and the number of people you may cook for and found it plenty, but the Marshall will give you some extra capacity for that SuperBowl party Smile

I have the same smoker from Lowe's. I would hold off on the gasket until after you give it a couple of cooks, and think you will be happy with it. I like the fact it holds temp pretty well as long as it is not a windy day.
