What is the pro and con to using pellet to smoke with? Do you use them dry or damp? I've heard of both ways? Question

I still use pellets sometimes to smoke with.

I always use them dry, not damp or wet!

You have to prepare them before the use, but you can prepare several lots, I get about 90 minutes smoke out of a foil pouch with 3/4 cup of pellets in.

You can use chips the same way, but chunks you don't need to foil.

To make a pouch.

Tear off 12" - 18" of foil.

Fold one third in from the right hand side, then the one third from the left hand side, then fold the bottom third up, put the pellets in the back part that is now like a pouch, tap them down, then fold down the top third.

Turn it over and poke a single hole in the back.

Form up the other pouches the same way, and reserve them to use after the first one has burned out.
