Hey guys, only my 2nd post here. Great forums though, I am learning a ton. Well, I am amidst a big decision. I am wanting to get a new cooker within a month or so. It has been my dream of someday doing a bbq catering business and possible a small restaurant, and I would like to get a cooker with the intentions of someday using it for those purposes. I am pretty new to smoking however I do have some experience. I have been doing alot of research on cookers and have really been drawn to the Lang 84 deluxe. Just seems like it has great reviews and the price seems real good. I want to get some opinions of the pros on here, people that have one, or people that have something different. Would you recommend this smoker to a someone nearly starting out? Pros, cons, anything would be great. Let me know what you think. Thanks a ton!

bucktailer, although I do not own a Lang I would say for a catering business the 84 Deluxe would be a fine choice. Whitey and Mr Tony's BBQ both run 84's as well as The PPP. They all cook for large crowds. The R/F design is very forgiving to grate temps as far as staying even across the board. The warmer set up works very well for keeping food that is ready to serve and the forward grill is there for any number of tasks. These are just my thoughts. Good Luck with your search. Smile

Looks like I will be heading down there to pick it up in about 2 weeks. Does anyone have any pointers as to which bbq joint I should be sure to stop at? I will heading along the I-95 corridor. Any other opinions out there on the Langs? Thanks.
