Wondering what to do with all those asian condiments in the fridge..?
Here's a new recipe I have been working on. I like to add some smoked pulled chicken and vermicelli noodles to turn it into a meal.
For best results all ingredients should be sliced as thin as you can.
For the carrot, I slice it very thin on a mandoline slicer and cut into slivers.
Slaw
1 medium head Napa cabbage, quartered and thinly sliced
1 red pepper, thinly sliced
2 celery stalks, sliced thin on the 45 degree angle
1 red onion, halved and sliced.. ya you got it.. thin.
1 medium carrot cut into thin match sticks
1 cup bean sprouts
1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped, optional
Dressing
1/2 cup Teriyaki sauce
1/2 cup Rice wine vinegar
2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tbsp Sesame oil
1 1/2 tbsp Soya sauce
1 tbsp Corn syrup
1/2 tbsp Dijon mustard
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp fresh ginger puree
1 tsp fresh garlic puree
1 tbsp Hoisin sauce
2 tbsp Thai sweet chili sauce
Combine ingredients and whisk together.
For best results, toss slaw with dressing just before serving. Only dress what you intend to eat. _________________ Chargriller Akorn

A picture says a thousand words.
Served up with vermicelli and pulled smoked chicken. Garnished with some fresh Italian parsley.
Topped with grilled rib steak.
Thai summer rolls made with vermicelli and smoked pulled chicken. I used a sweet thai chilli sauce to dip them in. _________________ Chargriller Akorn

D@amn Roxy, I didn't know you could cook.
All this time I thought you were just the photographer and you wife done all of the cookin'.
I stand corrected.
Great job on the "Burrito". That looks fantastic.
