I decided my birthday ought to be a several day celebration so I yanked a cryo of spares out of the freezer Friday evening. I knew they were not likely to thaw fast enough in the fridge so I improvised what I hoped would be a faster (and still safe) thaw. I threw the cryo in a cooler with a bunch of refridgerated drinks and crossed my fingers.

The next morning they were still Icy cold but had softened up nicely. I threw them in the fridge so I could get some chores finished.I ran a little long and got the ribs on about 1, an hour later than my preferred time line. Being I was running so late, these ribs got a thin mustard slather and Big Ron's HOH while the chimney fired, then sat only while my drum heated.

Gettin low on HOH! Crying or Very sad

One rack on second shelf with two on the top

About four hours in I threw some chicken on too and decided the gusty winds were doing a number on my temps so I removed a cap and she came around.

Around 6 I decided to throw a rack on the grill to finish it up a little quicker, and after a while added some doctored sauce and this is what I ended up with

Grilled up the second rack as well and ended up with this

Soon after the third rack was finished as well as the chicken so I got them off the smoker. I had run out of doctored sauce, so these just got some of Mr. K.A.M.'s favorite. Got some sliced pics finally Rolling Eyes

And time for cake

Jack and Emma had Gramma and Grandpa to mess with so they were pretty tame. I do have this picture of Jack charging with his pet alligator. Little rascal!

Thanks for looking, hope everyone had a good weekend!

I will admit those ribs look fantastic, but I am a dessert guy, and that cake look fantastic-er.

Easy, quick defrost, place cryo in cooler of cold tap water. Change water every hour or so. Works like a charm.
