I just scored a new one for $56. You may want to check your local stores if you're in the market.

Are you serious? is this some kind of promotion or was it somebody returned unit?

As a side topic, I was going to post here for WSM owners. how much babysitting does it require after it's up and running? can it maintain a stable temperature for hours or does it require you to keep adjusting the vents every 30 minutes?

Our 22.5" goes hours with out adjustment as long as the wind is not to fierce, like most cookers weather conditions dictate some of the performance. Our 18.5" is a lot more stable cooker.

You sure it's not a Brinkmann?

A new WSM is $300.

I'd have to see it to believe it.

Definitely a brand new unopened WSM. I wasn't even in the market for one but certainly couldn't pass up the deal. I think they are just trying to unload smokers/grills to make room for holiday items.

Home Depot's in my are typically carry a very small quantity of WSM's. I have two HD's on the way home though, I will try to remember to stop on the way and check just for the heck of it.

Yeah. definitely no luck here.
I checked on their website all stores in a 70 miles radius and none carries the smokey mountain, so not even an option to have on that price
oh damn.

None stocked in any of the stores near me. Why? I have no idea.

There is another make of smoker that sounds like Smokey Mountain, but it's not a Weber. I'm betting this one is not a WSM.

I didn't believe it either when I saw the price but it's absolutely a model 721001 WSM. They had it listed for $224 earlier in the week but marked it down further today. I grabbed it as soon as I saw it because it was the last one.

You know kind of odd (to me) I was recently in Vegas (sun for ever) for a week visiting my brother and he needed a new temp gauge for his smoker and ALL of the HD's and Lowe's we went to (more than 10) were down to ZIP on pretty much ALL of their BBQ stuff...smoker, grills, accessories, etc. due to "end of season".

Shoot here in the NW our stores carry this stuff..year around Shocked Shocked

I just called my local hd (I'm out of town) and they had one weber smoky mountain smoker for 44 bucks. I asked them to double check (x5) and they said it was the real deal. 18.5in. Will update when I pick up tomorrow.

I just went to my local HD as I needed a couple rakes. I looked around and I don't think they even carry WSMs...they do carry Weber but never seen a WSM there.

Logan you just made my day! I went to Home Depot and found the last WSM. There was a price tag that showed $198 but when I had an employee scan the box it was $48, with tax it came to just over $51. According to the scanner they didn't have any in stock. Anyone calling around might want to stop in the stores instead just to be sure. Here is the proof of my awesome score!!

Only issue is when the stores in your area NEVER carry the WSM's to start with. Hard to get a discount on something that they never have on hand.

Going to the web site and doing a search will tell you if it's normally stocked or not and if they do, if they have any (never count on that being right though as their counts are always off).
