Well i finally got some time freed up to make a disco. Rural King carries 22" plow discs new for $22.95 so I bought one. measures .179 in thickness so should work great!

Link: http://www.ruralking.com/disc-blade-22-7ga-1-1-8-x-1-1-4.html

Next problem... I want to make fajitas on it this weekend hopefully but I need a marinade recipe for chicken and beef (or maybe deer!!). Something simple would be great since i'll be spending time building...

I'll add pictures as I go along so check back for build pictures!!!!!!

Fajita and Chicken Marinade

This is a fajita marinade I tried last weekend (from another site).
I used it on chicken and it is by far the best I have ever tried.
Pulse it a few times in a food processor until it makes a nice thick paste.

8 cloves of Garlic (minimum, I use a lot.)
2 Tbsp of Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp red wine vinegar
1 Tbsp of Kosher salt.
1 Tbsp red chili powder
Juice of 1 lime (minimum)
2 tsp of fresh ground pepper
1 Tbsp of ground cumin (minimum, I use a lot)
2 tsp of onion powder
Cilantro, chopped. To taste, I use at least 1/2 - 3/4 of a bunch.
1/4 cup of of olive oil
3 tsp of red chili sauce
2-4 minced Chipolte peppers. Usually stores carry this pepper canned in an Adobo sauce.

Give it a try and you won't be disappointed.
I don't have a disco but it tastes great off of a flat top.

I'll try that out. The local "international market" has tons of stuff so I shouldnt have any trouble finding the stuff I need!

Thanks Jarhead!

well here she is. Quick, dirty and cheap. Money is tight right now so I didnt weld edges or put fancy handles on it. Went with the "industrial" rebar look. Laughing

Pre-weld

Welded up. Not horrible not not having welded in well over 2 years

And sand blasted....

Now its ready to season and cook. Cheap little disco... 25 buck into it!
