Dealing with flux-core wire here---------there seems to be a choice of .030 and .035 wire. When is one used rather than the other, and what is the deciding factor? _________________ When inept, do as the Eptians do.... |

The main difference is the thickness of the metal you are welding. You can use 0.30 for thinner metals and the 0.35 for thicker ones. It really doesnt make that much of a difference unless your welding metal thinner than 16g in which you may want to go MIG instead to prevent burn through. _________________ A proud member of da WHO DAT NATION!!!
