Maniac, I don't think that should qualify. JAllen said it had to be a pure bred Yak and clearly that is not. That looks exactly like a Yakadoodle or also known as Yakpoo. A cross between a Yak and a poodle.

Sorry if I am overstepping my bounds, but I would disqualify MAniac.

zski, Thank you for the heads up and input.

Maniac, you're officially out, 86'd from the Fabulous Whole Yak Throwdown of 2012.

I'm gettin' a little upset at the complete lack of respect for the rules...especially before they've been posted.

JAllen, How about letting Maniac get a head start on the Llama throwdown?
The thing got horribly disfigured in a propane explosion, he's gotta cook it now. Shocked It's almost half cooked already.
BTW, still havn't found my yak, but I will! Very Happy

updated

Entrant list:

1. JAllen
2. tacklebox (maybe)
3. Qin
4. k.a.m.
5. SoEzzy
6. thsmoker
7. GF

Chickenkoopers: (I'm just guessing, 'cause the yaks won't fit in their EBO's.)

Let's all show respect for the chicken koopers, but not as much as we show for the real men (and potentially women) participating.

That actually means that we can show them low respect within forum guidelines.

1. Mr. Tony
2. Gary
3. Geronimo
4. Alien bbq
5. Tony G.
6. Harry Butzack
7. 1buckie
8. ckone
9. chuckied

You chickien koopers have a chance to get out of the koop.
I'm not sure of the pecker order in there though.

The Llama is far too cute of an animal to throwdown on in a whole Llama bbq. I, at least until I make my move to South America.

I have to object.

I'm going to take part.

Here is the before picture.

Here's the after picture.

I don't have a game face or plated picture!

By the way, SoEzzy, that Yak looks a bit overcooked. Next time set the EBO on "brownies."

Okay, 1buckie, you're out of the koop and in the throwdown.

I have to say that your tone in the above comment wasn't particularly pleasant. That doesn't bode well come judging time.

I have to say it's quite a powerful feeling having your own throwdown.

OK then.....
I've just got a little paperwork to attend to & I'll be in the game ~~~>

Asian Water Buffalo & Yak Entry Requirements
CERTIFICATE OF VETERINARY INSPECTION

A valid Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI), also known as a health certificate, listing the California entry permit number, individual identification and test results must accompany each shipment containing any water buffalo and yaks entering California. The complete physical origin and destination address along with the telephone number of the destination are required on the CVI.

CALIFORNIA ENTRY PERMIT

A California entry permit, issued by CDFA- Animal Health Branch, which is valid for 15 days, is required for each shipment containing any water buffalo and yaks of any age and sex. In any case where the Department suspects that a proposed movement may pose a danger to California livestock a California entry permit may be refused. Permits are only issued to the accredited licensed veterinarian from the state of origin. Call the Livestock Movement Section at (@@@) @@@-@@@@ to request a California entry permit. Accredited veterinarians may also request a livestock movement permit using this form (PDF 13 KB) or (Word Doc 37 KB).

OFFICIAL INDIVIDUAL IDENTIFICATION

All water buffalo and yaks of any age and sex require official individual identification.

( It's a California thing.....)

Now I don't have a picture of a Yak or any pictures of me cooking one yet, but I do want to be the first to post a "game face" pic.

This shirt says it all.
