Da*n it Ernie, I got some friends with some cool toys, but none of them have anything on your friend there! That is an awesome way to move a HEAVY cooker. Very cool _________________ Trailers By Troy

erniesshop, your cookers looking great.
Be careful welding too close to a can of Bud, if you heat it up, it's alcohol abuse. |

Been working pretty steady........
I never liked the tounge on this trailer from day 1 , so.....
gathered up some 4" channel iron.....
Decided to go with a pintal hitch....I can remove the ring when I'm not using it and maybe keep the thieve's at bay !
Now back to my dreaded Door's...
I framed them in with 1" square tube......
I'm pleased with how they turned out !!
I also bolted the cooker to the trailer , then went to work on some latches.
Used some 2 x 1/4 strap to stiffin this door.

Looks like you found the winning ticket Ernie. That square tubing should keep those doors nice and tucked in place. But are you practicing for a semi trailer build with those welds? I know...new bad azz welder...gotta crank her up max. Looks great brother. _________________

Ernie you know better than that statement we are never done.
Very nice work my Friend. From the beginning planning stages (more grey hair on my part ) to the finished product I have thoroughly enjoyed this build and look forward to seeing the seasoning and first cook pics. _________________ Always remember slow and steady wins the race.

Well , Our Equipment Road-eo was held Wednesday and Thursday.
We cooked Burger's and Dogs on Wednesday.......
and Briskit and Pork Butt for Thursday.
Sweety didn't go this year , but I did get a Few Pic's !
The Smoker really worked well......1 hr after I lit It up...It was ready for Meat.....
About 9 am we put a couple Hundred ABT's on......
We also had Steamed corn on the cob ( the only way I'll do it from now on !)
and some pinto's swimming in red chile.
We fed over 200 and had a great time while at it .
I cooked up some peach cobbler for the Road-eo committee after everone left.
Kevin , Troy , Wreckless and Chuck were a big help on this build !!
Thanks Guy's !
And YES !
I Still have this Dam Elbow ! |
