Looking to set up the biz as an S-Corp this year, for tax & liability reasons

Wondering if that's something I could do myself (thru something like LegalZoom maybe) or if I should spend the extra bucks and get an actual accountant or lawyer to put it all together

Any advice is much appreciated!

Regardless of what corporate structure you use be sure to check with your State as to initial and annual corporate fees.

Within the last two years we moved two corps from TX to NV for that reason.

We used attorneys to set up ours years ago, but when moving same to NV we found a company that did the setup, papers and annual renewals cost effectively. Send me a pm and I'll send the contact info for the NV company. That way you can interact with them to see if it works for you.

Just did this.. and on the advice of my Accountant I set up as a LLC but I filed paper work with the IRS to make a S-Corp.. You get the coverage and better tax breaks!!

And no lawyer was needed
