I made up some burritos out of some leftover pot roast and wanted some salsa for a condiment.
I only had one 15 oz can of diced tomatoes and several cans of Rotel tomatoes with Habaneros. And the rest is history.
Goes great with chips too. Can't wait to try this on tacos.
Easy to make. Here ya go. I doubled the recipe. It's that good.

Kicked-Up Simple Salsa

1 15 oz can Diced Tomatoes
1 10 oz can Rotel Diced Tomatoes with Habaneros
1 4.5 oz can chopped Green Chiles
1 T Sugar
1 T Dried Parsley or Cilantro
1/2 t Salt
1/2 t Garlic Powder
1/2 t Ground Cumin
1/2 t Freshly Ground Pepper
2 Med. JalapeƱo Peppers, diced (optional with Rotels)

Directions:
Stir together all ingredients. Chill 30 minutes.

Makes 4 cups

Canned Ingredients

Good Eats

Thanks for lookin'

Jarhead, nice. Very Happy
I've been using your original recipe with great success, maybe too much. Shocked
My father brought over a case of diced tamato and some empty jars, "just in case" I needed any. Shocked

It's not me I'm worried about. Wink
I'm afraid if I give the old man a taste he'll show up with a few cases of tamato and more jars. Shocked

Serve him up some breakfast, before ya put him to work. Shocked

A little past the way I like em, but I'll take one for the Ring. Wink
2 eggs, 3 slices of Easter Ham and Buttered Wheat Toast with Honey.
Forgot the coffee cup. Embarassed
Eggs go on last, next time. Between ham juice and salsa juice, they got all stained up.
