Looking to have my pit painted, but if I paint it, I want it done right. I am assuming I will need to get it powder coated? Any suggestions? I really like the paint jobs the Pitmaker pits have as well as the Jambo's.

You can always powder coat it but that would be some $$$$$$. I know Pitmaker uses an epoxy primer and then Sherwin Williams automotive paint. Stumps, I believe, does the same but not sure on their brand of automotive paint. Not being a painter, I would sand blast it down to bare metal, treat appropriately, then start on the paint. Just my .02 worth.

I don't think you need to waste your money on Powder coating. The Powder coating will burn off near the fire box.
High temp Paint is all you need.
