Well I finally pulled the trigger on a couple of BBQ Vaults from Pitmaker. I have been wanting one for awhile so I jumped in and ordered two. They should look pretty nice in Viper Red and match my red Dodge. So now its the long wait till they are ready.
If anyone is looking for a big reverse flow mine is for sale.

Nice!!!!

Don't need the big one also?

For extra big events, or will the two new ones fill the bill??

1buckie I figure the two vaults will cook what the RF did. But I am leaving it on the trailer until someone buys it. Some people have looked at and want the whole rig. So if I sell the trailer and pit I am going to buy a cargo trailer with a porch and put the Vaults on it. I am just kind of playing it by ear. Plus not just everyone has the kind of cash it will take to buy the pit or the pit and trailer so I may have it for awhile. But I am not going to give it away either. I have plenty of money and labor that I have put into it.

Not a Viper owner, I dont think I can fit in it. I have a red
2011 Dodge Ram 3500. So George at Pitmaker suggested going with the viper red so it would match the truck.

LOL
I hope not Tony. I have been trying to work on that problem. I may just have to get up and run around the trailer twice every hour so I still feel like I am working hard. This BBQing stuff cant be to easy or the women may want to get in on it.
Ok ladies dont throw anything I was just joking.
Tony one thing that will be nice is the consistant temps I think we are going to get out of the vaults. I love my big RF but it is tough working with it when you only have one shelf full.

Well John I have figured out that old fence post work the best so I figure that i can cut time into slices about 3 inches long and they wll fit in the firebox just fine. Laughing Laughing
Now thiat i am finished with being a smart A. I am not real sure, I am going to cook on it there at the shope when we pick it up and they are going to help. I really think that lump will give the best results with some chunks of mesquite mixed in for flavor. But I know that allot of people use briquettes for the consistant heat. I figure I will do a little trial and error to see what I like the best and see which one fits our style

You're going to love your Vault. I have one on my competition trailer and another on my concession trailer. Some of the best pits on the market!

Chef can you tell me what made you purchase the PM Vault? I have been looking at them and undecided. Also I want to buy a fully outfitted concession trailer but didn't know which grill to go with. Southern Pride for the bells and whistle way or some Vaults for the economical approach. I would like to know your thoughts.

Well guys theysaid 3 to 5 weeks April 6th is the latest. Tuesday will be 3 weeks so figure pretty quick I should be getting a call.
motown I looked long and hard. I am currenlyusing a big reverse flow that i love, and I built. But for smaller events it can be to large and for cook offs using one door only it is hard to maintain the consistent temps I want. I believe in a insulated pit, mine has a insulatd fire box. They help get the consisnt temps I want. Ater reserching and talking to e guys at PM and visiting ith them at the San Antonio Rodeo cookoff I belive they will flip the bill for what I want. the two vaults will cook about as much as my big reverse flow.
