Been looking for awhile talked to the guys at Lang, Travis at DPP (hell of a nice guy by the way), Meadow Creek, Bubba Grills, and several others. Narrowing it down but I recently found an outfit in Watkinsville Ga. called custom pits and fab. Havent been able to find much info. on them and was wondering if anyone here ever heard of them and what you may have heard. They have a pit on their website custompits.com that is exactly what Im looking for but without a "reputation" I'm a bit gunshy. Just wondering if I could find something out from some of the guys and gals here. As always appreciate any info. given.

SHIMANOFAN, they seem to be new at the game as far as I can tell. Looking at all their cookers it appears that they use basically the same exhaust size for just about all of them no matter the size of cooker ( it also seems undersized for some of the cookers).
Also I noticed no grease bridge between the firebox and cooking chamber , in my opinion this is a must.
I do not care for the higher intake opening on some of the builds. Usually this happens when a cooker does not perform well and the person is looking for ways to make it breathe properly (this is just my opinion though).
Do they work I don't know. Would I buy one knowing what I know probably not.
I hope this helps.Very Happy
These are just my thoughts. Very Happy

Thanks K.A.M. I didnt notice the exhaust but on all their smokers the firebox seems to be mounted awfully high in relation to the cook chamber too. Still I'm about 6 or so months out from buying so maybe some more opinions will show up here. the more I look the more I'm liking the Bubbas though.

Similar situation as SHIMANOFAN here.... looking for info on custompits.com and also greasyhillcustoms.com

I know.... we get what we pay for.... but stil those guys might deserve at least to be looked and concidered.

I'm also leaning for Bubba..... but ANY input on those two would be appriciated.

Thanks!!!!!!
