i posted a question about buying some items on amazon and got a couple of responses on knives.. but they were individual knives.. does anyone have a suggestion for a decent knife set thats in a canvas similiar to these knives are in:
something in the $100 +/- range is within my budget.. but would like it in a canvas pouch (or something to take mobile on a cook)
appreciate the responses.. thanks! _________________ All things end in judgment... |

I don't own this set so I can't speak to the quality but it is in your price range and would seem to be a good starter set. You would have to source your own case however.

What i liked about those knives is they are a carbon steel and can be sharpend. They're made by Messerimeister, who also sels the knife rolls/pouches. The only thing missing would be a honning rod. _________________ Andy

Some time ago I was looking for a knife set and was instructed to buy the knives that I wanted and not the set. I really like the Victorinox Fibrox stuff. I have a few 6" boning knives and a 12" slicer. Since then I've purchaced a few more boning knives from different manufacturers which are all about the same as the Victorinox. You can get a knife roll from just about anyone. I carry mine in the top tray of a toolbox that I carry all my other BBQ stuff in. _________________ Big Blown Stump Clone
