Anyone have any experience with Humphrey smoker? Was ready to pull trigger on BWS G2 chubby but have some research really looking into Humprey Battle Box or Weeble.

Love my battle box, the only downfall to it is the weight, but that's not such a bad thing in my book. Seems like this thing will last for years.

Thanks for the info. Do you regret not getting the slide in water pan? Do you have the heat diverter or 4 inch casters?

Regarding the heat diverter: IMO it's worth the little extra.
I have a BWS with a heat diverter and have cooked on one without it.
In the cooker without the heat diverter, the water in the water pan boils like crazy. We constantly have to refill it and, if you ask me, has contributed to early decay of the cooker. It's starting to rust through.
In my Party with the diverter, it doesn't boil. Sure it gets hot, but I can cook a low & slow brisket and never refill the water.
My $.02 and YMMV.

As for Humphrey cookers, I know one person who has one and loves it. His only gripe is also weight, and that's in comparison to my Party. My next cooker may well be one.

Not at all. I decided if I wanted to use a slide in water pan I'd just cover the hole where the drop in goes myself. I don't have a heat diverter, but I'm working with my neighbor to have a thicker water pan made so it doesn't boil so much. I wanted to be able to use as much of the cooking space as I could, which is why I went with the drop in.

I don't have casters, I use a cheap HF furniture dolly to move mine around my yard and actually leave it right on the dolly while I'm cooking. But I'm trying to come up with a cart with bigger wheels that we can use at the competitions.

I'll be firing mine up later today with some yardbird!!!!

You won't be disappointed.

Talk to Kevin, aka smokinit, he will make sure you get what you want.
