While smoking something for dinner, I typically like to take advantage of the heat and make something else. For example, while I'm smoking brisket, I'll sometimes throw a steak on a rack over the fire. Or I'll put my edible rib trimmings on the rack nearest the firebox for a snack a few hours before my ribs are done. Last weekend while smoking a pork loin, I threw on a small chicken breast to have for lunch. ...you get the point. My question is, what so you like to cook, while cooking something else?

i used to plan my grilling sessions to end with turning into a smoke session.

as the fire would die down I would throw on something for low and slow and keep it going.

I use a different rig now so I don't do that anymore.

if I want a snack while cooking, sausages tend to get the call.

wings and sausages. Depends on what else I'm cooking and how many grates I'm using. Don't want that chicken juice dripping on other things. I also like to get the fryer out and do some fried mushrooms or home made moz sticks.

Yup, me too! I much prefer the el cheapo dogs. They remind me of being a kid/young with no money. Nothing like mystery meat in a tube Embarassed Laughing

Great ideas, all! I don't know why I never thought of sausage! Looks like I've got enough ideas for my next 100 meals now, haha.
